Description
The concept of a "community foundation" was introduced
by Frederick Goff in Cleveland, Ohio in 1914. The intent
was to establish an agency where people of modest means
could engage in large-scale philanthropy by pooling contributions.
The Community Foundation of Fayette County (CFFC) was
founded in 1999 on the same traditional principles. The
CFFC professionally manages and invests donated funds,
links donors with charities, provides support to non-profits,
and addresses community needs. |
